Telephone Cable Splicing What Is The Difference Between An Ethernet Cable And A Telephone Cable/jack?

What is the difference between an ethernet cable and a telephone cable/jack? - telephone cable splicing

I use a router to connect two computers with Internet connection via an Ethernet jack. But I have only one Ethernet cable and I need two. I use the phone jack / plug cable?

A telephone wire used only the two middle ports of the connector (a couple's son). The Ethernet cable has four son. (two pairs) one pair of transmission of data, one pair for receiving data. The CAT-5 protocol requires that all 8 cables to the connector, so that is Category 5, connect the connection.

Although the connections May are similar, they are not equally to all media!

No

Ethernet uses Category 5 (CAT5) cable with 8 pairs of son in an RJ-45, like a telephone cord (CAT2?) Use 2 pairs in an RJ-11.

It fits, because it brought the ability, but it does not work as you want!

Under an Ethernet cable is larger than the plug into the phone and son more.
