You are more of a loan by the Government through the Small Business Administration guaranteed http://www.sba.gov/financing a grant received by the public. Read the SBA resources to learn more about the criteria for debt

It is hard to find grants to start a business. Contrary to the myths that some perpetuate, federal government and also do private foundations do not grant money for a non-profit company. And yes, the average grant paperwork - lots and in large quantities, so I give myself to a cottage industry of writers born.

However, you can download the catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) and http://www.cfda.gov Grants.gov http://www.grants.gov - these are two sites created by the federal government to ensure transparency and information on scholarships. Scroll through the list and see if you admit that a non-profit companies-would find support.

Even if you buy books, "such as grants received" or list that supposedly has information on grants - all of them are repeat what CFDA has, albeit packaged differently. But St. --erroneous information is the same - almost all grants to start a business for profit.

Even SBA does not grant. From the SBA website http://www.sba.gov/expanding/grants.html

"It is the United States Small Business Administration provides grants to start or expand small businesses, although a variety of loan programs offered. (See http://www.sba.gov/financing for more information) While SBA several support programs offers, they are strengthening the rule to the development and organizations that provide small business management, technical or financial assistance. These grants generally support non-profit organizations, credit institutions and state and local governments.

Here is a list of federal resources for small businesses. See, if you are for people who are available to start a business - THERE IS NOT.

Most federal grants are awarded to specific groups with specific needs (eg owners of minority businesses involved in transportation researcheuphoric orders from DOT - Grant # 20,905 Disadvantaged Business Enterprises Short Term Loan Program

Business grants are often handed over to charities or in education or other similar activities involved (grant of 59,043 women, assistance for those who are the heart of the business will be granted to create women's control train women entrepreneurs

Hi Roy. The best advice I can give you is to go to Google Answers, and pay an investigator to offer some legitimate advice and research.

If your name is Roy - Why do you show your account name "Eileen O "???? And by the way - which is usually not a good idea to give your first and name, on another Internet site accessible to the public like that.
